Happy New Year Everyone! Only one more day left before we end the year and bring in 2019. May you fill many of your dreams this coming year. The time is growing short for the women's gathering.

(The first half of the newsletter is deleted since it's personal)

Inspiration continues to flow into the upcoming Goddess Gatherings. Every morning I take a minimum of one hour, usually two, to commune in silence with my guides. This is when and how I receive information. This morning the focus was on mining the gold in the women. It's not to be a workshop with a leader but a mixing of different energies to form a unified community. There will be round-robins, so everyone will be able to share their life with the others, as they choose. We will need a few extra folding chairs brought in to supplement seating, since the hotel doesn't provide. But not a problem. The purpose of the gathering is exactly that: to gather the women together to mix, mingle and share. Women are awakening out of centuries of patriarchal or male conditioning. We hold back our true feelings for the sake of others. We hold back our thoughts, emotions, opinions and - most important - our innate intelligence, which comes from beyond the mind.

Quiet women tend to stay in the background and listen, while others are more outgoing and tend to speak with confidence and can capture an audience quickly. That happened the last time I held an all-women's empowerment gathering, which was five years ago. One woman was very knowledgeable, erudite and had that magnetic quality of confidence and charm so the other women were intimidated and did not speak up.  I was not prepared for that and was not a good leader. But it was a valuable lesson and I had some really good feedback from my guides after that.

Now time has moved on and THIS time, I am better qualified. Everyone will have time to speak. I will monitor the time. We want to create a living, moving free space, not get bogged down. Everyone needs to experience that feeling of liberation when speaking and others listen. There is no leader. I will act as hostess to make sure everyone is cared for, loved, wanted, cherished and made comfortable - and treated equally and fairly. Every woman has a depth that is different from everyone else. Her depth goes waaaaay beyond the surface level and it is THAT we want to hear, if she chooses to reveal herself. She is not required to. But she is a cell in the body of the divine and her presence is needed. Even those who speak freely and think of themselves as being loud and independent, have been holding back their innate intelligence which is superior to mental intelligence.

Emotional feelings, mental opinions and spiritual beliefs are not innate intelligence. They are surface programs embedded into the body and mind. Innate intelligence is the divine within. This innate intelligence is God flowing through the blood, bones, organs and tissues, and is called Goddess when flowing through form for it is feminine in the body. This innate intelligence not only moves through the cells of the body, it creates the cells, and its language is awareness. We have difficulty being aware of the awesomeness that flows through us because we are distracted. There is so much going on all the time, everywhere. We are busy trying to make sense of it all. We've been acculturated to be mental. We hang out in our brains.

On Friday I met with a woman who will be with us at the gathering who introduced me to some new words. "Somatic" and "emotional intelligence". As a certified energy worker, massage therapist and Tantra counselor, she provided a new way of looking at things. But, yes! It's the same thing. That's what I call the goddess. That is the innate fire of life which is immortal, eternal and everlasting. Our own spirit, our own life force that never dies but moves from life to life. It builds new bodies for us and if we don't take care of the body, it leaves at death and gives us another one to work on understanding. It is what keeps our bodies alive. Nobody taught us about it growing up. We do not know that God is flowing right now in our arteries and veins and pumping blood and breathing for us because we're busy. We pay more attention to the outer world of things, people, obligations, cars, jobs, taxes, etc., and we are not aware.

The goddess within, the eternal immortal within which I have been studying for the last 40-50 years, is suddenly this month, this year, coming alive in everybody. The goddess is waking up! It's waking up in men too. The masculine control over feminine ways is loosening. The shift has happened. The masculine tide is ebbing and the feminine tide is flowing onto the shore. Men are having difficulties with it, but as women become more connected with the flow of their own inner nature, the men will become connected too. The women hold the key to bringing balance to the world of fragmented, disorderly parts. Men are already accessing their own feminine side, but they do not have the words for it so it is unidentified. A spoken language is necessary for men. I am noticing this with my husband.

The power of the feminine can be fierce when let out of its cage. Almost everyone is afraid of their own power and therefore hold it back. So here at a women's gathering there is a kinder, softer, gentler safe place to practice, without men around to judge us. Women soften the coming out and assist, as in a birthing situation. Sisters and mothers allow this type of coming out. They know. It is in a woman's nature to nurture and allow, whether she understands or not. Crying and tears do not need an explanation but a hug. A man needs an explanation but a woman doesn't. Have you noticed? A women's circle is a good place to practice speaking hidden knowledge, and if there are no words, one finds them. Nobody will beat you down and tell you that you're wrong. How can you be wrong if it is YOU? You are not wrong!? You are you! Speaking out loud to someone who listens helps us to feel liberated. Then you can go home feeling free and integrate with your families in a new way. Frustration builds up from holding back this very natural, innate sense of comfort, peace and freedom (which is you) moving inside your own skin. We are supposed to feel that way ALL the time. Let your body feel.

It has come to my attention that sometimes when in the presence of a person who can speak more beautifully, more professionally, more gracefully and more erudite than me, I am intimidated. I feel small and unworthy because I compare myself. But since I have become aware of this habit, I have been altering my inner feeling response. This is what L means when she speaks of emotional intelligence. It's how we respond emotionally to situations that confront us. We can change how we respond. We grow in wisdom when we adjust our attitudes. Now when I notice myself being intimidated, I strengthen myself by becoming aware of my circle of colored lights around me, my aura, my boundary, my protection. They actually appear to me in living color. I know that my feeling of unworthiness was built up unconsciously from being immersed in the patriarchal society. I started out as a soft-spoken, quiet, shy child who listened to her elders, the men. Now I am learning that women validate me, while men intimidate me. There is a stark difference that I am aware of. That is why I am organizing women's gatherings. I receive more positive value training from women than I do from men.

Now, there are some women who are more masculine than feminine in their approach to life. Same goes for men. Some men are more feminine. So when we, as women, get together, there will be all kinds of personalities - the quiet listeners and the outspoken loud women. That is why we will not have a talking stick which allows everyone to "speak until done". We will monitor the time but with care and kindness. Years ago when 8 of us were having a board meeting for Anakosha, I used the talking stick. Two lawyers were present, the other six were on my wave length. Herman was talking about love in a most beautiful way, and my husband kept casting sideways looks at me in exasperation. When Herman finished he passed me the stick and my husband could stand it no longer. He said, as he grabbed the stick from me, "This is going to take all day, give me the stick!" And brought the meeting to a quick finish. A wonderful story, isn't it? The difference between the male way and the female way? But we are all learning how to integrate both sides. So we will break often and there will be ample time for everyone to freely mix with those they are drawn to.

We are women with families and jobs and hobbies and interests. We engage with the external world of action as humans should, with responsibilities and obligations and dreams and desires. But we would not be here at all if we did not have the fire of life planted in our hearts and pumping the life force out into our bodies 24/7. The heart is where the flame is stored.  It is the last organ in our body to die. It is the location within the human breast, enclosed by the protective rib cage. All other body systems can break down but the body will still live as long as the heart beats. As long as the immortal flame is still alive and the heart beats, a miracle can still happen. It is this immortal flame that allows us to live as a human being, in flesh and blood, so we can feel, think, walk, talk, act, smell the flowers and actively participate with families, friends and acquaintances and learn and grow wise in the process. This innate intelligence MUST be acknowledged, remembered and rekindled, or we die the slow death of disease, disintegration or depression. We CAN reverse the aging process, or at least slow it down. As long as the body is alive God flowing through us. We know it as Goddess because when God is in form he is a feminine being. We are androgynous. This is not religion and it's not about becoming more spiritual. It is about embodying our spirituality and living it in real life as modern, active women.

If you have not reserved space with me before now and would like to attend the goddess gathering on Monday, January 7 at 2 pm, please write to me by hitting REPLY so I know who to expect. You now have the location. There will be name tags waiting for you.
