Anakosha is directed by one woman, called Diana on this website, though that is not her real name. Anakosha was born out of the ashes of The Sensitivity Seminar Group of Zephyrhills, Florida, which died when Diana's husband died. Together they taught swinging etiquette to couples between 1981 to 1993. The book "Swinging With Safety" was posted on this website until it was published by Amazon in 2017, where it now can be found for purchase. The book was based on the years 1980 to 1993 during which an all-day seminar was taught to couples interested in swinging. It was the first truly educational class of its kind in the history of modern swinging. An alumni club formed out of the graduates of SSG and the member couples, grew very close, like family.
There were parties every Friday and Saturday, and long holiday weekends with camp-outs and marriages in the back yard, mini-conventions, workshops and more. When Bob, the male founder died in April 1993, Diana couldn't carry on alone and so SSG disbanded. But shortly after the funeral, Diana received a vision to carry on the work, and was given the name "Anakosha". But to tell the whole story we need to go back to the year 1976 in Costa Rica where Bob and Diana lived in Central America. On a clear sunny morning that year Diana had an out-of-body sojourn similar to a near-death experience but without the tunnel or the trauma of dying. In the middle of a guided meditation she found herself floating upward in bubbles of light and happiness, liberated and free from her body. On the floor below she saw her body jumping up and down 8 or 10 inches off the floor, but she didn't care. She was free, in a place of infinite love, bliss, light, forever. Diana returned to normal consciousness over the dinner table that evening, with her husband and sister who was visiting from the north. Still descending from an expanded trance state, Diana tried to speak of the strange occurrence. Her sister, who had led the meditation, said in amazement, "The Kundalini!" And from that day forward Diana's life changed. The energy of the Kundalini was active from that day on. For the next ten years, Kundalini would not stop flowing. It grew into a pressure that demanded working with the earth forces and spiritual forces. It was an unstoppable transcendence that swept her up and away and it became her teacher. In the quiet solitude she was swept up and out of body, day after day while her husband kept a close eye on her. Diana's detailed account of kundalini awakening Convulsive, whirling, jerky and violent motions took her over for the first few weeks, getting rid of toxins. Gradually the energy changed into graceful movements similar to tai chi, without consciously directing it. Each session ended in transcendental bliss. It was a process that included mystical, angelic and heavenly visitations that opened to other planes of existence. Most people in the throes of Kundalini cannot find words to speak about it, for it is an unworldly experience. But Diana's life took a quirky turn back to ground. She and her husband became swingers. They had discussed sex with others before kundalini, so Diana was prepared. She and Bob had their first swinging experience shortly after kundalini awakened and it proved to be a life-saver. Daily being swept up into unbelievable transcendance - a deep and profound love - was grounded through physical intimacies with other people. A threesome with a man led to a threesome with a woman and from there with a friendly couple up the hill. Soon they were hosting three couple parties at their home once a week. Sex was hugely grounding and balancing. Universal and unconditional love poured through her into those she was intimate with. She and her husband had had a close, loving relationship before this, and he had always made sure she reached orgasm each day before sleep. Many years later looking back, she came to suspect that having orgasms so frequently was a mitigating factor, though not the only factor, in why Kundalini awakened in her in such a dramatic way. In 1980 Bob and Diana moved to Tampa, Florida for Bob's eye surgery which brought them into contact with a network of swinging couples. At a nudist camp one day, they were invited to a party and suddenly their world of intimate connections expanded exponentially. They bought a house in Zephyrhills near Tampa and the nudist resorts, and closed out their life in Costa Rica. Taking turns hosting parties, they also placed a personal ad in a contact magazine. They were on a high adventure. They thought they had died and gone to heaven. A steady stream of couples answered their ad and were invited over for an evening of fun. But most of them were hungry for knowledge, not for bedroom action. Questions like, "Are we crazy to want this? Are we normal? Do others do this too? What do you do when...." And they would sit in the living room for hours, talking. Frustration led Bob to suggest a seminar for all the new couples and Diana agreed. They thought this would save them a lot of time telling the same story over and over. He designed an all-day seminar with hands-on exercises, and the first one took place in 1981. Bob and Diana continued sitting up late into the night discussing their own growing pains. While Bob was a practical, sexual male, Diana had a new bottom line that could not be broken. She wanted something more out of swinging, which was limited to sex only. To her there was so much more to experience and explore. It was a tradition in swinging that no love be permitted expression, and definitely no pillow talk. Yet Diana was experiencing a depth of love that went way beyond the physical. Her connections were at a soul level. She bonded with everyone. She didn't like the limitations. She and Bob had a lot to talk about. Transcendental sensations bubbled through her daily, and she passed them on to her swing dates so that sex and swinging took on a spiritual glow. Bob taught valid lessons on female orgasms at the same time because he was an expert on the G-spot, which became an important teaching in SSG. Men learned about female sexuality and the results could be felt and seen in the glow on women's faces during a party. Visions were common for Diana as they floated in and out of her consciousness during parties. Photos of her doing her movements. She could see auras around the people, including the occasional dark ones, though there were not many of those. The swinging lifestyle brought her in contact with many levels of people. One night while taking a breather in the back yard during a party, Diana saw the house dancing on its foundations in rays of light. She was having many such visions that were heart-based and full of love. This particular vision concerned her for she worried that the neighbors could see the astral light too. This moment proved to be prophetic for a neighborhood petition was circulated soon after to stop the loving parties. When Bob died in April 1993, over a thousand couples had passed through the seminars and there were 201 dues-paying member couples, all of whom were actively involved and close enough to be family. There was unusually high energy surrounding Bob's death. It was a lifestyle funeral and prophetic visions came through several people. But within days the County Zoning Commission knocked on the door and closed SSG as a club. Zoning violations they said. The man who would become Diana's future husband, Brian, (not his real name) stepped forward to help. As a lawyer recently divorced, he helped her rearrange her life while escorting her to parties which began to float from house to house. Several months later Diana received a vision to carry on the work with a more feminine influence. She was given the name "Anakosha". Brian became a willing supporter of her ideas. By the end of 1993 Diana had moved in with Brian in his Naples home, and was sound-boarding with three other couples about buying property for a spiritual-sexual enlightenment center. After a series of meetings, papers were filed and in July 1994 Anakosha became an official not-for-profit corporation. Then things began to slow down. Diana and Brian's relationship took priority over Anakosha. Brian began his own law practice so they could work together, and Diana became his only office staff. Their honeymoon began. The other three founding couples faded away, leaving Brian and Diana alone with Anakosha. Brian posted a website inviting couples to a two-hour orientation, and drew up a tough privacy agreement for members to sign. He became known in swinging circles and began advising other club owners in the use of the privacy agreement to protect themselves from unwanted exposure. Soon they were holding parties. Then once a month orientations took place before each party. Then two parties a month. The membership grew. Little by little Diana began to include women's circles, then occasional hotel dances, beach parties, dinner socials and mini-conventions. She spent hours in her meditation room and entertained visions of free-love Anakoshans. By 2001 Diana was disenchanted with legal work and sought a more loving arena to work with people. Anakosha was not going where she envisioned. She was led to enroll in a Reiki class and from there into massage school. She told Brian she needed to do this and Brian agreed, leaving him to handle the office by himself which the age of technology made possible. As a licensed massage therapist Diana's early visions returned full force. Over the years she kept seeing a landed center far from civilization with a university that had no ceilings, no walls, where well-balanced people gathered to learn and grow from one another, sometimes as students, sometimes as teachers. A sense of joy and liberation accompanied the vision. It was not hedonistic but joyful and always learning and growing with freedom, respect and harmony. Sexuality was understood to be a natural part of human nature and was used freely, but always with love, which advanced them to fully realized people. But the vision was not happening. In Diana's estimation sex was continually being repressed, and even in swinging love was being repressed. She found her massage clients hungry for love which they expressed sexually. Diana was confused. Many of her clients felt they were stuck in restrictive marriages and sex was a constant subject of negativity. It was obvious that marital relationships were holding people back. This validated Diana's belief felt that the lifestyle of swinging, which provided sexual variety, was an honest answer to springing these people free while restoring harmony to their relationship and family. She saw it as a path to betterment, but realized a code of ethical and moral behavior was needed. Her massage career and meditations continued to deepen her understanding about about sexuality, love, intimacy and the high ground of the spirit. In 2008 Brian and Diana stopped hosting parties after reaching a ceiling of sorts. Taking a step back from the lifestyle, they separated their creative efforts and each concentrated on their own projects. Brian relinquished his hold on Anakosha, releasing it to Diana alone. She began changing the Anakosha website to better reflect herself. She developed a couples workshop called the YIN Workshop, putting much time and attention into it, but it never materialized. Brian began developing an internet project called Lifestyle Privacy which is now published online. In 2011 they resumed hosting parties again. This time for senior couples over 50 since they themselves were getting older. They created a new name, Florida Silver Foxes, and put up a website providing a central contact over-50 couples. This lasted four years but the work of hosting parties was taking a toll on them. Florida Silver Foxes was taken down in 2015. Today Brian and Diana live together in Naples, Florida in a semi-retired, happy couple relationship with a few free-minded friends. They have found a happy medium where each can devote their days to their own interests without interference from the other. Diana is the web writer of Anakosha. As a student of spirituality, she is aligned with Ascended Master instructions on how to live human life to the fullest. Her interactions with sexual people have been the focus for her instructions and channels higher love into human affairs. Her intent is on how to express love physically, using the correct mental and emotional approach. The emphasis is on freedom. On each individual's freedom to choose compatible lovers and consciously create one's own experiences and encounters without pressure or coercion from anyone, including a mate. In a truly free society, each individual is sovereign and not obligated to serve anyone else, but rather to live the law of kindness, compassion and love. Each relationship is sacred and the first relationship is to oneself. An expanding understanding of such spiritual forces at play within the seeming ordinariness of life inspires Diana, and fuels her desire to start a loving massage group where everyone can practice conscious choice in company with others who are practicing conscious choice. In a compatible group they can practice sharing hands-on, close and intimate experiences in higher love. This requires moving past physical sex as an expectation. Swinging requires sex. In her experience swinging has limited people to the first two or three chakras which creates pressure, expectation and muddling of boundaries. It stops short of sovereign higher love which can only be experienced by releasing all expectation and entering into the energy of love. Diana is prepared to guide us. She is a prolific writer and uses Anakosha as an outlet for her thoughts. (Updated 1/15/17) |
